(Also wanted to mention, the way mining really gets you money is with gem gloves. Then you’d be producing 4x what you are now. You can get the upgrade in the shop that lets you do two types of wood at once for a million gold and once your woodcutting is 99 you can get the woodcutting cape for another million for half cut times. Also while you’re right you can use those logs for other skills, replacing them isn’t hard later on. The most common suggestion is to do fishing or mining out the gate for money and then once you have a little nest egg branch out.īut ultimately do what is fun for you. Woodcutting isn’t great for money unfortunately. You definitely want to keep your skulking upgrades as maxed as possible. Thanks for any advice! If there are any other tips for easy early-game goals I would love to hear them! I've literally just sat on woodcutting since making my account, so if there's anything I should do sooner rather than later, let me know! Should I go ahead and sell off my logs from 1->70 woodcutting to fund some general skill upgrades? Or will I be kicking myself later when I need to do post-99 woodcutting for my fletching and firemaking? My mind is telling me to save all these logs to get my firemaking and fletching up, but at the same time I'd really like to have better than a mithril axe to finish 99 woodcutting, for example. I spent my time getting to about 70 woodcutting, and have thousands of logs sitting in my bank. However, I also see that I need money to unlock skilling upgrades, the ability to cook, and so on. I think I have the mentality from this account that I should be hoarding ALL of the materials I gather from woodcutting, mining, fishing, etc. Hey there! I just started Melvor a few days ago and am definitely enjoying it! I've played Runescape since 2002, and have been playing an ironman on Oldschool Runescape for the last couple years. 7) No spam or self-promotion (server invites, advertisements, etc) without permission from a Moderator.6) Obvious trolling means obvious consequences. This includes text, images, or links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence, or other graphically disturbing content. 4) All discussions and posts must relate to Melvor Idle. This includes suggestions that you may not agree with. 2) Respect each other's opinions, even if you disagree with it.We don't need to be specific, you know what this means.
